How To Bargain When Buying Cars

I wanted to buy a car and I didn’t care if it was new or used as long as it’s in good condition and functional, I’m good to go. I thought it was as easy as picking out a car from new or used car sales and paying for it. I was so wrong. The entire process is tiring and could take all day! Luckily, I found a shortcut that will save you a lot of trips and money.

•    Decide on what brand of car you want to buy. In this case, I wanted to buy a dodge.
•    Next on the list is to locate 3 car dealers through the internet. The net houses thousands of dealers from new car dealers to used car dealers. It’s a great tool that’ll save you a lot of time.
•    Request for price quotes from those dealers. In my case, I found 3 dodge dealers in Sydney and contacted them via email for the quotes.
•    Remember to place your contact details so the dealers know how to get in touch with you.
•    Once you have the prices of the car you want to buy, check the invoice price of your chosen car online. A lot of free sites offer this information. Feel free to use them.
•    If they call you, ask if they can email you the quotes. I found it better to deal with negotiations via email rather than face to face. Once you’ve received their email, make your best offer. Always start low because dealers always bump that up.
•    Do not appear to be in haste. This will send out a strong signal for dealers to take advantage of you since they know how much you want to buy a car. Wait for them to contact you.
•    Accept the offer from the dealer you think has the best bargain.

By researching online and contacting them via email, you can save time, money and effort. It’s now as easy as picking out a car, going to the dealer to test the demo cars and paying. As simple as that.
