<p>Normal speed limits may be reduced, traffic lanes may be canged,  detours made, and people may be working on or near the road.</p>

<p>Warning signs are used to help you and other drivers move safely through the work zone. Observe posted signs until you see the sign stating you have left the work zone.</p>

<li><strong>Slow down!</strong></li>
</ul>
<p>Speeding is one of the major causes of work zone crashes; obey posted speed limits.</p>

<li><strong>Obey road crew flaggers!</strong></li>
</ul>
<p>The flagger knows what work actifity is planned and the appropriate speed for moving traffic safely in the work zone. A flagger has the same authority as a regulatory sign and you can be citied for disobeying his or her directions.</p>

<p>Keep a safe distancew between you and the car ahaead of you. The most common crash in a highway work zone is the rear end collision.</p>
